Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of youth programs and events for ages 11-18.
  • Support program leaders during sessions, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Communicate effectively with young people, parents, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Help manage program logistics, including materials preparation, venue setup, and participant registration.
  • Maintain accurate records of program attendance, feedback, and outcomes.
  • Contribute creative ideas for new activities and program enhancements.
  • Assist with promotional activities to increase program participation and community awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and health and safety regulations.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Youth Work, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles and practices.
  • Valid First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Familiarity with the Totley/Sheffield community.
