Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network architectures (LAN/WAN, VPNs, data centers).
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Perform network security audits and implement best practices to protect data and systems.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored networking solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical incident response and problem resolution.
- Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions to enhance infrastructure.
- Assist with planning and execution of network upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, VLANs).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/NX-OS and/or Juniper Junos.
- Strong understanding of firewall concepts and experience with vendor platforms (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
- Experience with VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSE, NSE4+).
- Experience with cloud networking platforms (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies (e.g., Viptela, Meraki).
- Familiarity with VoIP and QoS concepts.
