Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Nonprofit Program Manager to join our dynamic team in Sparkhill, Birmingham. This is a pivotal role for an individual passionate about driving positive social change and strengthening community resilience. As a Program Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the full lifecycle of our key community programs, from strategic planning and development through to implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, cultivate relationships with stakeholders, and ensure that our initiatives are delivered effectively and achieve measurable impact aligned with our organizational mission.
Your day-to-day will involve a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on project management, and collaborative engagement. You will be responsible for defining program objectives, developing detailed work plans, and allocating resources efficiently. A critical aspect of this role is fostering strong partnerships with local community groups, government agencies, and funders to maximize our reach and impact. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned nonprofit programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to funding guidelines.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, beneficiaries, and funders.
- Oversee program staff and volunteers, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on program progress, outcomes, and impact for internal stakeholders and external funders.
- Contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts by providing program data, narratives, and strategic insights.
- Monitor program activities for compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
- Identify opportunities for program improvement, expansion, and innovation based on community needs and best practices.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and community engagement events as required.
- Manage program risks and challenges, developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in program management within the nonprofit sector.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects from conception to completion.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial reporting.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including report writing and public speaking.
- Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
