Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ethical Hacker to join our growing remote cybersecurity team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in identifying vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and strengthening the security posture of our clients’ critical systems and applications. As a remote Ethical Hacker, you will leverage your expertise to simulate real-world cyberattacks, meticulously probe for weaknesses, and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate potential threats before malicious actors can exploit them. This position demands a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of various attack vectors, and a proactive approach to security challenges.
You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive penetration testing across web applications, network infrastructures, cloud environments, and mobile platforms. This includes performing both automated and manual vulnerability assessments, exploiting identified weaknesses in a controlled manner, and accurately documenting findings. Your ability to think like an adversary, coupled with strong analytical skills, will be crucial in uncovering sophisticated vulnerabilities that standard security measures might miss.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive penetration testing on web applications, networks, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and mobile applications.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and risk analysis using both automated tools and manual techniques.
- Simulate advanced persistent threats (APTs) and other sophisticated attack scenarios.
- Develop custom scripts and tools to aid in penetration testing and vulnerability exploitation.
- Document all findings, including proof-of-concept exploits, risk levels, and remediation recommendations, in detailed reports.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to explain vulnerabilities and guide remediation efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, tools, and best practices.
- Participate in security incident response planning and post-incident analysis.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our security testing methodologies and processes.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to internal teams and clients as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, Nessus, Acunetix, OWASP ZAP.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS), operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and web technologies.
- Expertise in identifying and exploiting common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
- Solid knowledge of scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and testing methodologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with various attack vectors, malware analysis, and social engineering techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and client interaction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH, GPEN, OSWE, CISSP).
- Experience with mobile application penetration testing (Android/iOS).
- Knowledge of secure coding principles and code review practices.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
