Job Description

Hiring.zycto, on behalf of Canada Post, is actively seeking highly motivated and reliable individuals to join their team as a Delivery Agent for immediate full-time hire in Mission Heights, Grande Prairie. This is an incredible opportunity for an immediate full-time hire, offering a dynamic work environment where you play a vital role in connecting the community. As a Delivery Agent, you’ll be the face of Canada Post, responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of mail, parcels, and other postal items to residential and business customers. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in varying weather conditions.

You will be operating a Canada Post vehicle, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of mail along designated routes. Beyond just delivery, this position involves meticulous sorting, loading, and handling of postal items, maintaining accurate records, and upholding the high standards of Canada Post. We are looking for individuals who are not afraid of physical work, thrive in an organized setting, and possess a keen eye for detail. You must be comfortable navigating diverse routes within Grande Prairie, demonstrating punctuality and professionalism at all times. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently deliver mail, parcels, and other postal items to residential and business customers on an assigned route.
  • Operate a Canada Post vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Sort, load, and prepare mail and parcels for delivery, ensuring accuracy and proper sequencing.
  • Collect outgoing mail and parcels from customers when required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving minor delivery issues professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and other relevant information.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
  • Work independently and manage time effectively to complete routes within established schedules.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including those related to vehicle operation and handling postal items.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record (abstract required).
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a delivery, courier, or driving role.
  • Familiarity with Grande Prairie and surrounding areas.
