Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to senior traders and portfolio managers.
  • Assist with trade entry, order management, and post-trade reconciliation across various asset classes.
  • Monitor market news and data feeds for relevant information impacting trading strategies.
  • Prepare daily trading reports, P&L summaries, and position reconciliations.
  • Liaise with back-office, compliance, and risk management teams to ensure smooth trade settlement and regulatory adherence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date trading records and databases.
  • Conduct ad-hoc market research and data analysis as requested by traders.
  • Identify and escalate potential operational issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist in managing and optimizing trading systems and tools.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a financial services role, preferably within trading operations or a back/middle office function.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and other Office Suite applications.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a proactive attitude.
  • Basic understanding of financial markets and instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) or order management systems (OMS).
  • Progress towards CFA or similar industry certifications.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in financial trading.
