Key Responsibilities
- Perform tire installations, rotations, balancing, and repairs on various vehicle types (e.g., passenger cars, light trucks, vans).
- Inspect tires thoroughly for wear patterns, tread depth, punctures, sidewall damage, and other anomalies, providing accurate assessments.
- Operate tire changing machines, wheel balancing equipment, and other specialized tools with precision and strict adherence to safety guidelines.
- Advise customers comprehensively on optimal tire maintenance practices, appropriate tire pressure, and suitable tire options tailored to their vehicle model and specific driving conditions.
- Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist proactively with inventory management duties, including the accurate receiving, efficient storage, and precise tracking of tire stock.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on all work performed to guarantee the highest standards of vehicle safety and service excellence.
- Document all services performed accurately and thoroughly using company record-keeping systems.
- Collaborate effectively and professionally with fellow team members and other service department personnel to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) as a Tire Technician or in a similar hands-on automotive service role.
- Strong foundational knowledge of various tire types, sizes, construction, and their specific applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating tire changing machines, wheel balancing equipment, and common tire repair tools.
- Excellent diagnostic capabilities and problem-solving skills pertaining to tire and wheel issues.
- Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including repetitive lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Possession of a valid UK driving license with a clean record.

Preferred Qualifications
