Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and professional Concierge Security professional to join our team in a vibrant residential condominium community located in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. This is a critical front-line role that combines essential security functions with premium guest services, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all residents, visitors, and staff. As the first point of contact, you will be the face of the building, responsible for maintaining order, deterring unauthorized access, and responding to incidents with composure and efficiency.

Your day-to-day will involve a diverse range of tasks, from diligently monitoring surveillance systems and conducting regular patrols to assisting residents with inquiries and managing incoming deliveries. You will play a pivotal role in implementing and enforcing building policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, and preparing detailed incident reports. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to act swiftly and decisively in emergency situations, always upholding the highest standards of professionalism and discretion. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor building access control systems, visitor logs, and CCTV cameras.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the property, including common areas, parking garages, and perimeters, to identify and address security risks.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, following established protocols.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and contractors, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Enforce building rules, regulations, and policies to ensure a safe and harmonious living environment.
  • Write comprehensive and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and maintenance requests.
  • Assist with package and delivery management, ensuring secure storage and retrieval.
  • Monitor fire safety systems and participate in emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures.
  • Liaise with emergency services, property management, and law enforcement as required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing Hiring.zycto with integrity.

Required Skills

  • Valid BC Security License (Basic Security Training – BST)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a security or customer service role, preferably in a residential or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with security systems, including CCTV and access control.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound judgment under pressure.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with condominium or strata property operations.
  • Advanced security training or certifications.
  • Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the local community.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Criminology, Law Enforcement).
