Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive remote fundraising strategies aligned with client objectives and organizational goals.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners through virtual platforms and communication channels.
- Identify and research potential funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and major gift prospects.
- Prepare compelling grant proposals, funding applications, and presentations that effectively communicate our mission and impact.
- Manage donor databases, track engagement, and ensure timely and accurate reporting of fundraising activities and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, program delivery, client services) to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated fundraising efforts.
- Participate in virtual team meetings, strategy sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor fundraising trends, best practices, and technological advancements to continually enhance our remote fundraising capabilities.
- Plan and execute virtual fundraising events and campaigns to engage a broader donor base.
- Achieve agreed-upon fundraising targets and key performance indicators.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, donor relations, or non-profit development.
- Demonstrated success in securing significant contributions from diverse donor segments (individuals, foundations, corporations).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to craft persuasive narratives.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) and fundraising management platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability.
- High level of proficiency with virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet).
- Strategic thinker with analytical skills to identify trends and optimize fundraising approaches.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Non-profit Management, Business Administration, Communications).
Preferred Qualifications
- CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) designation or in progress.
- Experience with online fundraising tools and digital marketing for philanthropy.
- Familiarity with the Canadian philanthropic landscape and donor regulations.
- Master's degree in a related discipline.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
