Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers in creating detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using industry-standard software.
- Learn and apply company design standards, drafting procedures, and quality control processes.
- Revise and update existing drawings and models based on design changes or feedback.
- Maintain organized project documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping of all design iterations.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
- Participate in design reviews, actively contributing ideas and learning from experienced professionals.
- Continuously seek to improve CAD skills and stay updated with new software features and industry trends.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one major CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360)
- Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and materials
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving aptitude and a willingness to learn
