Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control train movements using sophisticated dispatching systems and signal controls.
- Issue track occupancy permits and enforce speed restrictions as required.
- Communicate effectively and continuously with train crews, maintenance personnel, and other railway departments.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and system malfunctions, coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
- Ensure strict adherence to all Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR), company policies, and safety regulations.
- Manage and prioritize rail traffic to optimize operational efficiency and minimize delays.
- Conduct regular inspections and analysis of track conditions and reported issues.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all train movements, incidents, and communications.
- Implement and adapt to changes in operational plans or unforeseen circumstances quickly and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a high-pressure, fast-paced operational control center environment.
