Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and storing ingredients.
- Maintain a pristine and organised kitchen environment by regularly cleaning workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cutlery, ensuring all items are sanitised and ready for immediate use.
- Support with the unloading and proper storage of deliveries, ensuring stock rotation and freshness.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and replenish kitchen supplies, reporting shortages to senior staff.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Assist in setting up and clearing down kitchen areas before and after service.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
