As a Solar Farm Technician, you will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of our state-of-the-art solar photovoltaic (PV) installations. This hands-on role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, utilizing specialized tools, and adhering to strict safety protocols.

You will gain invaluable experience in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and executing corrective repairs on solar equipment. This includes everything from inspecting panels and inverters to troubleshooting wiring and mounting structures. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, and electrical components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, escalating complex problems to senior technicians or management when necessary.
  • Execute corrective repairs on solar equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Monitor system performance using specialized software and reporting tools.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance data.
  • Assist with site cleanliness and organization.
  • Participate actively in all provided training sessions and workshops.

Required Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and monitoring.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.
  • Valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Any prior experience in a hands-on technical, construction, or maintenance role is a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical concepts.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
