Key Responsibilities
- Lead the research, analysis, and development of smart city strategies and master plans.
- Integrate innovative technologies (IoT, AI, big data, 5G) into urban infrastructure and services.
- Collaborate with municipal governments, technology partners, and community stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities.
- Conduct feasibility studies, impact assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed smart city initiatives.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and policy recommendations for various audiences.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for smart city projects.
- Ensure smart city initiatives align with broader urban planning goals, sustainability targets, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate public consultations and workshops to gather input and build consensus on urban development plans.
- Monitor global trends and best practices in smart city development to inform local strategies.
- Contribute to securing funding and grants for smart city projects through compelling proposals.
Required Skills
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, City Planning, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in urban planning, with a focus on smart city initiatives or technology integration.
- Strong understanding of smart city concepts, technologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and urban modeling tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
