Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in and successfully complete extensive training programs on hydrogen fuel cell technology, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with the assembly, installation, and commissioning of hydrogen fuel cell stacks and systems.
  • Perform routine diagnostic checks, preventive maintenance, and calibration on fuel cell units and associated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including mechanical, electrical, and control system malfunctions, under supervision.
  • Conduct performance testing and data collection, accurately recording results and observations.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards, especially concerning hydrogen handling and high-voltage systems.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering, research and development, and production teams to ensure seamless operation and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
  • Continuously update knowledge on new fuel cell technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical aptitude is a must.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, with a willingness to learn complex systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system diagnostics.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a technical field (e.g., Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician, Automotive Technology, Industrial Maintenance) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior hands-on experience with complex machinery, automotive systems, or industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical diagrams and mechanical blueprints.
  • Understanding of basic chemistry or physics principles.
  • Experience in a regulated environment or with strict safety protocols.
