This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on student learning and well-being, while enjoying the freedom to choose your own assignments and schedule, adapting your work to fit your personal commitments.

As a Substitute Teacher with Hiring.zycto, you will step into diverse classroom environments, providing essential continuity of education during the absence of permanent staff. Your ability to quickly build rapport, manage a classroom effectively, and deliver engaging pre-planned lessons will be key to your success. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, ensuring that students remain focused and engaged in their studies. We partner with a variety of primary and secondary schools within the Edinburgh region, offering you the chance to experience different educational settings, pedagogical approaches, and student demographics, thereby broadening your professional horizons without the long-term commitments often associated with a permanent post.

We understand that modern educators value autonomy and work-life balance. That’s why we’ve designed this role to put you in control. Whether you’re looking for a few days a week, specific mornings, or ad-hoc assignments, our flexible scheduling options are tailored to fit your personal and professional needs. You’ll have the backing of the Hiring.zycto team, ensuring you feel supported in every placement with timely communication and access to resources. This role isn’t just about filling a gap; it’s about providing stability, encouragement, and quality instruction to students who rely on consistent learning experiences. We believe that every lesson matters, and your commitment to excellence will foster an environment where young minds can continue to flourish. Join us in fostering a positive and productive educational atmosphere throughout Edinburgh’s schools, one engaging lesson at a time. Your expertise is invaluable, and we’re committed to connecting you with roles where you can truly thrive and make a difference to the next generation.
