Key Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman pipe fitters with the installation, repair, and maintenance of pipe systems.
- Learn to identify, cut, thread, and bend pipes according to specifications and blueprints.
- Help prepare materials and tools for daily tasks, ensuring proper organization and cleanliness.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment.
- Support the assembly of pipe components using various joining techniques (e.g., threading, bolting, clamping).
- Participate in site clean-up and material handling, including loading and unloading materials.
- Develop proficiency in using hand and power tools common to the pipe fitting trade under supervision.
- Assist with routine inspections and testing of pipe systems to ensure functionality and leak-free operation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
- Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project requirements.
