Key Responsibilities
- Learn and perform tire mounting, balancing, rotation, and repair services on various vehicles.
- Assist with vehicle inspections, identifying worn or damaged tires and related components.
- Safely operate tire-changing machines, wheel balancers, and other shop equipment under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Inspect and test tires for pressure, tread depth, and overall condition.
- Assist senior technicians with more complex automotive tasks as needed.
- Interact professionally with customers, explaining services performed and answering basic questions.
- Perform basic shop duties such as stocking inventory and cleaning tools.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in the automotive industry.
Required Skills
- Strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in vehicles.
- Ability to lift and move heavy tires (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
