Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons across the elementary curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting respect, cooperation, and self-discipline.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and guardians to support student learning and well-being.
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extra-curricular activities.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in accordance with school policies and statutory requirements.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs.

Required Skills

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong classroom management abilities
  • Passion for elementary education and child development
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Understanding of the UK Primary National Curriculum
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a primary school setting, even if through teaching placements
  • Knowledge of various educational technologies to enhance learning
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
