Job Description

Are you an experienced and dynamic HR professional looking for a challenging contract opportunity in the vibrant heart of Toronto? Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled HR Consultant to join our team, working closely with various clients in the unique and evolving environment surrounding The Bentway area. This role offers the chance to apply your strategic human resources expertise to a diverse range of projects, helping organizations optimize their HR functions, navigate complex employee relations, and foster positive workplace cultures.

As an HR Consultant, you will be instrumental in providing expert advice and support across all facets of human resources. You will partner with business leaders to understand their unique challenges and develop tailored HR solutions that align with their strategic objectives. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive approach, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of current HR best practices and Canadian employment law. You will be responsible for driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, ensure compliance, and support organizational growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert HR advice and consultation to clients on various HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, compensation, and benefits.
  • Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation and best practices.
  • Conduct HR audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategic solutions.
  • Lead or support HR projects, such as organizational design, change management, and HR system implementations.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and mediate disputes, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops on HR topics to client management and employees.
  • Stay current with industry trends, employment law, and HR best practices to provide up-to-date guidance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on HR metrics and project outcomes.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of progressive HR experience in a consulting or senior generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law, including ESA, Human Rights Code, and OH&S.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • CHRP/CHRL designation.
  • Experience working with diverse industries and organizational structures.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
