Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery and equipment safely and efficiently during the night shift.
- Perform routine visual inspections of products and packaging for quality defects, proper labeling, and integrity.
- Load raw materials into machinery and unload finished products, ensuring correct handling and storage.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Record production data accurately, including quantities, quality checks, and downtime.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and minor adjustments to machinery to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas to maintain a sterile and organized environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues immediately to supervision.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (packaging experience preferred).
- Ability to work consistently during night shift hours.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting, weighing, and recording data.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and safety guidelines.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating automated packaging equipment.
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or other quality assurance systems.
- Forklift operator certification (an asset but not required).
