Hiring.zycto is seeking a motivated and compassionate Entry Level Radiology Technician to join our growing diagnostic imaging team in the Canary District, Toronto. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced Radiology Technicians and Radiologists in performing diagnostic imaging procedures (e.g., X-rays).
  • Prepare patients for imaging examinations, explaining procedures clearly and answering their questions to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Position patients correctly and safely for optimal image acquisition, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment under direct supervision, ensuring its cleanliness and proper functioning.
  • Accurately record and maintain patient information, examination details, and images in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, recognizing and responding to any signs of distress or adverse reactions.
  • Adhere to all radiation safety standards and organizational policies to protect patients, staff, and yourself.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the imaging suites and preparation areas.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
  • Current or eligible for registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO).
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and image management.
  • Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous clinical placement or externship experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging center.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with various imaging modalities beyond basic X-ray (e.g., CT, MRI basics).
  • Proficiency in a second language relevant to Toronto's diverse population.
