Job Description
Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a professional and vigilant Bouncer to join our team for weekend shifts at our vibrant establishment in Fairbank, Toronto. This pivotal role is perfect for individuals who possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and a commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons and staff. As a Bouncer, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, setting the tone for their experience through your approachable yet authoritative presence. You will be instrumental in managing crowd control, verifying identification, enforcing house policies, and de-escalating potential conflicts with tact and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Verify identification and age requirements for all patrons entering the establishment.
- Monitor entry and exit points, maintaining a visible presence to deter unwanted behaviour.
- Manage crowd flow and ensure compliance with capacity limits.
- Enforce all house rules and regulations firmly but courteously.
- Address and de-escalate verbal disputes or physical altercations professionally and safely.
- Remove unruly or intoxicated patrons from the premises when necessary, following established protocols.
- Provide assistance to patrons and staff as needed, including directing them to facilities or assisting with general inquiries.
- Conduct regular patrols of the venue to identify and address potential security risks or disturbances.
- Collaborate with bar staff and management to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
- Complete incident reports accurately and promptly for any security-related events.
- Adhere to all provincial and municipal liquor licensing laws and regulations.
Required Skills
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid Smart Serve certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a security or bouncer role, preferably in a nightlife or hospitality setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weight, and perform physical interventions if necessary
- Professional and approachable demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
- Knowledge of local bylaws and regulations pertaining to licensed establishments
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
