Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and monitoring of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Learn and apply best practices in warehouse management, including inventory control, space optimization, and order fulfillment.
- Support senior managers in analyzing logistics data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for process improvement.
- Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal teams to resolve operational discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party logistics providers, understanding contract terms and service level agreements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of supply chain optimization strategies.
- Prepare reports and presentations on logistics performance, costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Engage in continuous learning about industry regulations, technological advancements, and market trends in 3PL.
- Shadow and assist experienced logistics managers in various daily tasks and special projects.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or co-op experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations
- Familiarity with Logistics Management Systems (LMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Understanding of freight modes (LTL, FTL, ocean, air) and Incoterms
- Certification in supply chain or logistics (e.g., CSCMP, APICS) or willingness to pursue
