Key Responsibilities

  • Process and verify accounts payable invoices and expense reports.
  • Assist with accounts receivable duties, including generating invoices and tracking payments.
  • Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions into the accounting software.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  • Prepare and process journal entries under supervision.
  • Maintain organized and accessible financial records and documentation.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
  • Support the accounting team with various administrative tasks and projects.
  • Communicate professionally with vendors and clients to resolve billing inquiries or discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new concepts and software.
  • Basic understanding of mathematical concepts and calculations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enrollment in or completion of a college or university program in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
  • Familiarity with any accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus, but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of general accounting principles (GAAP).
