Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a wide range of laboratory experiments using established and novel biotechnological techniques.
  • Perform cell culture, molecular cloning, PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and other relevant assays.
  • Operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, centrifuges, microscopes, and chromatography systems.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, troubleshoot issues, and draw scientifically sound conclusions.
  • Maintain meticulous laboratory records, protocols, and data documentation in accordance with GxP standards.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues from various scientific disciplines to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety regulations and quality control procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of new experimental methods and protocols.
  • Stay abreast of scientific literature and advancements in biotechnology to inform research strategies.

Required Skills

  • Strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in aseptic techniques and mammalian cell culture.
  • Demonstrated experience with molecular cloning and gene expression techniques (e.g., PCR, qPCR, Western Blot).
  • Familiarity with protein purification and characterization methods (e.g., chromatography, SDS-PAGE).
  • Excellent data analysis skills, including experience with statistical software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot experimental challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience with flow cytometry, mass spectrometry, or next-generation sequencing.
  • Knowledge of bioprocess development and scale-up.
  • Prior experience working in an industry laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
