Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership, shaping and executing the organization's strategic plan in alignment with its mission and values.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, authentic relationships with community members, partners, government agencies, donors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Spearhead comprehensive fundraising initiatives, including grant applications, donor cultivation, corporate sponsorships, and strategic partnerships, to ensure long-term financial sustainability and growth.
  • Oversee robust financial management, budgeting, and meticulous resource allocation, ensuring absolute fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower a diverse, high-performing team of staff and dedicated volunteers, fostering a positive, inclusive, and exceptionally collaborative organizational culture.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson and passionate advocate for the organization, significantly enhancing its public profile and influencing policy relevant to its core mission.
  • Ensure robust governance by working closely and effectively with the Board of Directors, providing regular, insightful reports and strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee program development, implementation, and rigorous evaluation, ensuring all programs are impactful, highly responsive to community needs, and consistently meet desired outcomes.
  • Manage operational efficiency, proactive risk management, and ensure full compliance with all pertinent legal and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience navigating complex government funding structures and policy landscapes.
  • Bilingualism (English plus a relevant community language) is an asset.
