Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) with various tasks.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment safely around the job site.
- Perform general site clean-up and maintenance, including debris removal and waste management.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision (e.g., shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, drills, saws).
- Prepare work areas by setting up scaffolding, barricades, and safety cones.
- Dig trenches, excavate and backfill areas as required.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other labour-related duties as assigned by the site supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid G Driver's License and reliable transportation to job sites (Chinatown, Ottawa area).
