Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of complex information related to national security threats, including terrorism, espionage, cyber warfare, and foreign interference.
  • Evaluate intelligence from diverse sources, identifying patterns, trends, and potential indicators of hostile activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive intelligence reports, briefings, and assessments for various stakeholders, including senior management and government officials.
  • Collaborate with inter-agency partners and intelligence counterparts to share information and develop coordinated responses to emerging threats.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools and methodologies to process and visualize large datasets, extracting critical insights.
  • Participate in strategic intelligence planning and contribute to the development of long-term intelligence collection requirements.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all security protocols, ethical guidelines, and legal frameworks governing intelligence operations.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of evolving global security landscapes, technological advancements, and analytical techniques to remain at the forefront of intelligence operations.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a proven capacity to interpret complex data and draw sound conclusions.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex intelligence findings clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and analysis techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and ethical conduct, particularly when handling sensitive and classified information.
  • Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and experience with specialized analytical tools.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance (Top Secret or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • Canadian Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this highly sensitive role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Criminology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Fluency in a second language relevant to global security (e.g., Mandarin, Russian, Arabic, Farsi, Punjabi, Urdu, Spanish).
  • Experience working in a government intelligence, law enforcement, or national security agency.
  • Knowledge of specific regional geopolitical issues or thematic security threats.
  • Certifications in intelligence analysis, data analytics, or cybersecurity.
