Job Description
As our dedicated Data Privacy Officer (DPO) at Hiring.zycto, you will play a pivotal, strategic role in ensuring our global operations strictly adhere to data protection laws and best practices, including GDPR, CCPA, Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and other relevant regional regulations. This fully remote position offers the unique opportunity to shape and enforce our privacy framework across all facets of our business, from product development and marketing to human resources, legal, and vendor management. You will be the primary point of contact for all data privacy matters, fostering a culture of privacy awareness and compliance throughout the organization. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complex landscape of international data privacy regulations, ensuring that our innovative solutions are built and delivered with privacy by design and by default at their core.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can not only interpret complex legal requirements but also translate them into actionable, business-friendly policies and procedures. You will be instrumental in conducting thorough Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for new projects and technologies, managing data subject access requests (DSARs), and leading our response protocols in the event of a data breach. Your role extends to providing ongoing, engaging training and awareness programs to our diverse, globally distributed workforce, ensuring everyone understands their role in protecting data. Your analytical prowess will be key in identifying potential privacy risks, performing regular privacy audits, and implementing robust mitigation strategies to safeguard sensitive information. This position demands a high degree of autonomy, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a distributed, fast-paced environment. You will report directly to senior leadership, advising on strategic privacy initiatives and representing the company in discussions with regulatory authorities or external audits when necessary. If you are passionate about protecting personal data, advocating for individual privacy rights, and thrive in a dynamic, remote-first setting, this is the perfect opportunity to make a lasting impact with a forward-thinking company. Your commitment to ethical data handling will directly contribute to our reputation, foster trust with our clients and employees worldwide, and ensure our continued growth in a privacy-conscious market.
