Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Esports Event Coordinator to join our passionate team in Stoney Creek, Hamilton. This full-time role is crucial for delivering world-class esports tournaments and events that leave a lasting impression on players, fans, and sponsors alike. As an Esports Event Coordinator, you will be instrumental in the end-to-end planning, execution, and post-event analysis of various esports competitions, ranging from local community gatherings to larger regional qualifiers and championship events.
The burgeoning world of esports demands precision, adaptability, and a deep understanding of both traditional event management principles and the unique nuances of competitive gaming. You will work closely with internal teams including marketing, production, and broadcast, as well as external partners such as game publishers, teams, venues, and vendors, to ensure every event runs seamlessly. Your day-to-day will involve meticulous logistical planning, including venue selection, equipment procurement, scheduling, staffing, and managing participant registration and accreditation. You’ll be the linchpin ensuring all elements converge to create a captivating and professional environment for competitors and spectators.
Beyond the logistics, this role requires a keen eye for fan engagement and player experience. You’ll contribute to creating event narratives, ensuring clear communication channels for all stakeholders, and troubleshooting issues on-site with calm professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and execute all logistical aspects of esports events, including venue selection, equipment setup, and travel arrangements.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
- Coordinate with game publishers, teams, talent, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth event operations.
- Develop detailed event timelines, schedules, and run-of-show documents.
- Oversee participant registration, credentialing, and on-site support.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and supervise their services on event days.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all event-related inquiries and issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with marketing and broadcast teams to promote events and ensure compelling content delivery.
- Conduct post-event analysis, gather feedback, and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in event coordination or project management, preferably within esports or live entertainment.
- Demonstrable passion for esports and a deep understanding of competitive gaming ecosystems.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
