Hiring.zycto is actively seeking dedicated and reliable Janitorial Staff for an immediate start on our night shift team in Summerside, Edmonton. This full-time position is crucial to maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall excellent condition of our facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms thoroughly, including fixtures, floors, and replenishing supplies.
- Empty waste bins and transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, window sills, and other surfaces.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained, stored properly, and kept in good working order.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or hazards observed during shift to appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all company policies and health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe usage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a janitorial or commercial cleaning role.
- Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) regulations.
- Experience operating floor buffers, auto scrubbers, and other commercial cleaning equipment.
