Key Responsibilities
- Operate and drive the food truck safely to various pre-determined and event locations.
- Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of food items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Handle customer orders, process payments accurately using POS system, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the food truck and equipment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory, stock supplies, and place orders as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct daily opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and equipment checks.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major repairs promptly to management.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, engaging positively with customers and the community.
- Adapt to varying event schedules, weather conditions, and customer volumes while maintaining service quality.
Required Skills
- Valid G Class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in food service or hospitality, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to operate commercial cooking equipment (grills, fryers, ovens, etc.).
- Excellent customer service and strong verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (e.g., valid Food Handler's Certificate).
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Comfortable handling cash and operating a Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varied weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a food truck or mobile catering unit.
- Culinary training or experience as a line cook in a professional kitchen.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
