Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Cloud Architect to join our innovative team in Wallasey, Liverpool. As a Cloud Architect, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple platforms, primarily focusing on AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will play a critical role in shaping our cloud strategy, driving digital transformation, and ensuring our systems meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud architecture solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Develop comprehensive cloud strategies, roadmaps, and migration plans for various business units.
- Evaluate and recommend optimal cloud platforms, services, and tools to meet specific project needs and strategic objectives.
- Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles into cloud deployments.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to cloud engineers and development teams.
- Conduct regular performance tuning, cost optimization, and capacity planning for cloud environments.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert for cloud technologies, staying abreast of emerging trends and innovations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a Cloud Architect or senior cloud engineering role.
- Extensive hands-on experience with at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including advanced services.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and identity management within cloud environments.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Cloud Architect certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with serverless architectures and microservices design patterns.
- Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
