Job Description
Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Certified Forklift Driver to join our dedicated team in the bustling South End of Sudbury. As a pivotal member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within our expansive warehouse and yard. Your daily tasks will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from storage areas, stacking products securely, and assisting with inventory management.

You will be expected to conduct pre-operation checks on your equipment, identify and report any malfunctions, and maintain a clean and organized work area. Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach, order picker) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve products.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure placement.
- Transport goods to designated areas within the warehouse or yard.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any defects or maintenance needs immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting, recording, and rotating stock.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and accurate order fulfillment.
- Safely stack and unstack items, optimizing storage space without compromising stability.
Required Skills
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, etc.)
- Minimum 1 year (12 months) of verifiable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and inventory checks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with various material handling equipment beyond forklifts.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a similar industry (e.g., manufacturing, distribution, retail logistics).
