Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers with concept development and ideation for new jewellery collections.
- Create detailed hand sketches and technical drawings for various jewellery pieces.
- Contribute to the creation of mood boards, trend research, and design presentations.
- Learn and utilize 3D CAD software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix) to develop virtual prototypes.
- Prepare design specifications and assist with material and gemstone selection.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure design integrity throughout the production process.
- Organize and maintain design files, samples, and material libraries.
- Participate in design critiques and contribute constructive feedback.
- Stay updated on current jewellery trends, market demands, and competitor activities.
Required Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge of jewellery design principles.
- Proficiency in freehand sketching and technical drawing.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Basic understanding of different metals, gemstones, and jewellery manufacturing processes.
