Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented LegalTech Analyst to join our innovative remote team. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from your home base in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland, or anywhere within Canada, while collaborating closely with a geographically dispersed but tightly knit team. We are looking for someone who can independently manage projects, articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and possess a keen understanding of legal processes. Your day-to-day will involve evaluating existing legal technologies, recommending new tools, assisting with their implementation, and providing ongoing support and training to legal professionals. You will also be responsible for maintaining documentation, conducting market research on emerging LegalTech trends, and ensuring that our solutions remain at the forefront of innovation. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing legal workflows and identify opportunities for technology-driven optimization and automation.
- Translate complex legal requirements into clear, concise, and actionable technical specifications for development teams.
- Evaluate, implement, and support various LegalTech applications and platforms, including document management systems, e-discovery tools, and contract management software.
- Conduct thorough market research on emerging LegalTech trends and solutions, providing data-driven recommendations for adoption and integration.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs and materials for legal professionals on new and existing LegalTech tools.
- Collaborate effectively with legal teams, IT departments, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality of LegalTech solutions.
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for LegalTech platforms, resolving user issues efficiently and proactively.
- Assist in data analysis and reporting related to LegalTech adoption, usage metrics, and overall impact on operational efficiency.
- Ensure the compliance of LegalTech solutions with relevant legal, regulatory, and data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR, PIPEDA).
- Document processes, system configurations, and create user guides for all implemented LegalTech applications to ensure knowledge transfer and consistency.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a LegalTech Analyst, Business Analyst in a legal setting, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of legal processes, terminology, and typical law firm or in-house legal department operations.
- Proficiency with various LegalTech software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, Relativity, iManage, SharePoint, Litera, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable components.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearly and concisely.
- Strong project management abilities and the capacity to work independently in a dynamic remote environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies effectively.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to measure performance and impact.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in Legal Project Management (LPM) or Business Analysis (CBAP).
- Experience with process mapping and workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Power Automate).
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications and their potential use cases in legal contexts.
- Knowledge of specific legal areas such as litigation, corporate law, intellectual property, or regulatory compliance.
