Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Conduct thorough financial needs assessments to understand client goals, risk tolerance, and current financial status.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on mutual fund products aligned with client objectives, ensuring full disclosure of features, benefits, and risks.
  • Educate clients on market trends, economic indicators, and investment strategies.
  • Process investment transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to all regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Monitor client portfolios regularly and proactively suggest adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure strict compliance with MFDA regulations, FINTRAC requirements, and other relevant financial industry standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with industry knowledge and product offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance client service and product delivery.

Required Skills

  • Valid Mutual Fund License (IFIC or CSC equivalent).
  • Minimum 2.5 years (30 months) of experience as a Mutual Fund Representative or in a similar financial advisory role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mutual fund products, investment strategies, and financial markets.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and CRM systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Advanced financial designations (e.g., CFP, PFP) or working towards them.
  • Experience with a diverse client base in the Toronto market.
  • Bilingualism (English and another commonly spoken language in Toronto).
