Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nurse Manager to join our dedicated team in Rathnelly, Toronto. This pivotal role combines clinical nursing leadership with comprehensive administrative oversight, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care while optimizing departmental operations. As a Nurse Manager, you will be instrumental in guiding our nursing staff, implementing best practices, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development.

Your primary focus will be on the daily management of nursing services, including staff scheduling, performance evaluations, resource allocation, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring the provision of high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established standards and policies.
  • Manage staff scheduling, assignments, and workload distribution to optimize efficiency and maintain appropriate staffing levels.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities for nursing staff.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor departmental budgets, managing resources effectively to meet financial objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g., CNO, Accreditation Canada), organizational policies, and safety protocols.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives, analyze patient outcomes, and implement evidence-based practices to enhance care delivery.
  • Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and administrative leadership to ensure integrated and coordinated patient care.
  • Address and resolve patient and family concerns, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of new nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to privacy regulations.

Required Skills

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills, including budget management and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Nursing Leadership and Management.
  • Experience with specific EMR systems relevant to our facility.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead diverse teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
