Hiring.zycto is actively seeking an experienced professional who is passionate about providing client-centred, evidence-based care throughout pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postpartum period. As a contract Midwife, you will play a crucial role in empowering families, ensuring safe outcomes, and delivering holistic support to birthing individuals and their newborns. We are looking for individuals who thrive in autonomous practice yet value collaborative care within a supportive framework.
In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of clients, conducting comprehensive prenatal assessments, monitoring the progress of labour, facilitating births in various settings (home, birth centre, or hospital, as per client choice and your scope), and providing essential postnatal care for up to six weeks following birth. Your expertise will extend to offering education, counselling, and emotional support, ensuring clients are well-informed and confident in their birthing journey and early parenthood. The contract nature of this position offers flexibility, allowing you to balance professional commitments with personal life, while still making a profound impact on the lives of new families in the community. You will be expected to maintain meticulous records, adhere to professional standards, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, to ensure seamless client care.

We are committed to supporting our contract professionals with resources and administrative backing, enabling you to focus purely on providing outstanding clinical care.
