Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding, while promoting independence.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) accurately and report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with patient mobility, including transferring, ambulating, and positioning patients safely and comfortably.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, ensuring hygiene and infection control standards are met.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a sense of comfort and well-being.
- Document observations, care provided, and patient responses in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist with basic medical procedures under direct supervision, such as specimen collection or simple wound care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Respond to patient calls and requests promptly and respectfully.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including patient confidentiality (HIPAA/PHIPA).
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
