Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload packages of varying sizes and weights from trailers and conveyor belts.
- Accurately sort and scan packages, ensuring proper routing and destination assignment.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull packages, individually or with team assistance, weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks safely and proficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily productivity targets.
- Identify and report any damaged packages, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns promptly to management.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 70 pounds consistently throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate package sorting and scanning.
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
- Basic literacy skills, including the ability to read labels and follow instructions.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required during peak season.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6 months+) in a warehouse, shipping, or logistics role.
