Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide pre-hospital medical care to patients.
- Assess patient conditions, interpret vital signs, and administer appropriate medical interventions according to protocols.
- Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment, including defibrillators, ventilators, and IV pumps.
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities while continuously monitoring their condition.
- Document patient information, medical history, treatments administered, and response to care accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate effectively with firefighters, police officers, emergency room staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of ambulance vehicles and medical supplies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Valid Paramedic (EMT-P) certification in Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs (with assistance)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

- Previous experience in a healthcare or emergency response setting (volunteer or paid)
- Associate's degree in Paramedic Technology or related field
