Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Payment Systems Analyst to join our innovative FinTech team in Bethesda, Maryland. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze payment transaction data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payment processing issues, including transaction failures, chargebacks, and reconciliation discrepancies.
- Monitor payment system performance, identify potential fraud patterns, and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and compliance teams on new payment feature development and system enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, NACHA rules) and internal compliance policies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for payment processes, procedures, and system configurations.
- Generate reports and provide insights on payment performance, fraud trends, and operational efficiency to stakeholders.
- Participate in testing and validation of new payment integrations and system upgrades.
- Stay informed about evolving payment technologies, fraud techniques, and regulatory changes.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in payment systems analysis or a related FinTech role.
- Strong understanding of various payment methods (credit/debit cards, ACH, wire transfers, digital wallets) and their underlying processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, including SQL and advanced Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Solid understanding of payment industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, AML).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
