Hiring.zycto is seeking an accomplished and inspiring Pharmacy Manager to lead our dedicated team in Hotwells, Bristol. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse pharmacy team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee all aspects of daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient and safe dispensing practices.
- Ensure full compliance with GPhC standards, NHS contractual obligations, and company policies.
- Manage pharmacy stock control, ordering, and inventory to maintain optimal levels and minimise waste.
- Provide expert clinical advice, consultations, and professional services to patients, including medication reviews and health screenings.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient experience and drive prescription growth.
- Monitor and manage the pharmacy's financial performance, including budgeting, sales targets, and cost control.
- Handle patient complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Actively participate in local healthcare initiatives and build strong relationships with GPs and other healthcare professionals.
- Identify training needs and support the professional development of all pharmacy staff.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data protection regulations are strictly adhered to.
- Champion health and safety protocols within the pharmacy.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and appraisals for direct reports.
Required Skills
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Significant experience in community pharmacy, with a proven track record in a leadership or managerial role
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, ethics, and GPhC standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and IT systems
- Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and performance management
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced clinical qualification or commitment to ongoing professional development
- Experience with PGDs (Patient Group Directions) and advanced pharmacy services
- Knowledge of local NHS services and healthcare pathways in Bristol
- Previous experience in business development or service expansion within a pharmacy setting
