Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced Probation Officers in managing caseloads, ensuring compliance with court orders and license conditions.
  • Contribute to the assessment of risk and needs of individuals under probation supervision.
  • Support the development and implementation of supervision plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date case records and documentation in line with policies.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with service users, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, supervision sessions, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and attend all mandatory training as required.
  • Adhere strictly to all policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to probation services.
  • Assist in preparing reports and contribute to court proceedings as directed.

  • A foundational understanding of the criminal justice system in England and Wales.
  • Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle.
