Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement quantum algorithms for various computational problems (e.g., optimization, simulation, cryptography, machine learning).
- Perform extensive simulations of quantum circuits and algorithms on classical hardware to validate correctness and analyze performance.
- Collaborate with quantum physicists and hardware engineers to understand current and future quantum computing architectures and their limitations.
- Contribute to the development of quantum software development kits (SDKs) and tools.
- Optimize quantum algorithms for execution on available quantum hardware, considering noise models and coherence times.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in quantum computing research and incorporate relevant findings into development efforts.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to project documentation, and present research findings internally and externally.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex quantum computing systems and algorithms.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Required Skills
- PhD or Master's degree in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on quantum information science.
- Proven experience with quantum programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, OpenQASM).
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with scientific computing libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy).
