Job Description
Are you a seasoned Safety Officer with a profound commitment to fostering secure construction environments? Hiring.zycto, a leading force in North Vancouver’s dynamic construction landscape, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Officer to champion our commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence. In the demanding world of construction, ensuring the well-being of our teams and the integrity of our projects is not just a priority – it’s an unwavering principle.
This pivotal role places you at the heart of our operations, working directly on various construction sites across the Lonsdale Quay area and beyond. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and enforcing our comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs, ensuring strict adherence to provincial regulations, industry best practices, and our rigorous internal standards. Your daily mission will involve identifying potential hazards, mitigating risks, conducting thorough inspections, and empowering our workforce through continuous training and awareness initiatives. We’re looking for more than just compliance; we seek a leader who can inspire a culture of safety, where every team member feels responsible and empowered to contribute to a hazard-free workplace.
You will be the go-to expert for all safety-related matters, providing guidance, conducting investigations, and driving continuous improvement strategies. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess exceptional problem-solving skills, and demonstrate an unwavering dedication to protecting our most valuable asset: our people. Our projects span a diverse range, from intricate urban developments near Lonsdale Quay to significant infrastructure upgrades, each presenting unique safety challenges and opportunities for innovation. As our Safety Officer, you will actively participate in project planning, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness. You’ll lead incident investigations with a focus on root cause analysis and preventative measures, rather than blame, fostering a learning environment. Collaborating closely with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors, you’ll ensure that safety protocols are integrated seamlessly into every phase of construction, from groundwork to completion. This role offers the chance to directly influence operational practices, contributing significantly to both our reputation for excellence and the overall well-being of the communities we serve. If you are passionate about making a tangible difference in construction safety and eager to contribute to landmark projects, we invite you to build your future with Hiring.zycto.
