Key Responsibilities
- Operate various industrial sewing machines (e.g., single-needle, double-needle, walking foot, sergers) with precision and efficiency.
- Sew a wide range of materials, including heavy-duty fabrics like canvas, vinyl, leather, and other specialized textiles, often involving multiple layers.
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications to ensure product compliance and quality.
- Perform complex stitching operations, including seams, hems, binding, top-stitching, and intricate designs according to specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to identify and correct any defects, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines, such as threading, changing needles, adjusting tension, and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet production deadlines.
- Assist with material handling, cutting, and preparation as needed.
