Are you a highly skilled snowboarder with an infectious passion for the sport, eager to share your expertise and help others discover the joy of the slopes? Hiring.zycto is actively seeking enthusiastic and certified Snowboard Instructors to join our dedicated team for the upcoming winter season. As a Snowboard Instructor with Hiring.zycto, you will be the cornerstone of our winter sports education program. Your primary mission will be to provide engaging, safe, and effective snowboarding lessons to guests of all ages and skill levels, from absolute beginners taking their first slide to advanced riders looking to master complex tricks and techniques. You’ll be responsible for fostering a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere, ensuring every participant feels confident and enjoys their time on the snow. This role demands not only advanced riding ability and solid teaching methodologies but also exceptional interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to connect with and inspire your students.
Beyond instruction, you’ll contribute to the overall guest experience, offering helpful advice on equipment, resort amenities, and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, safe, and engaging snowboard lessons to individuals and groups of varying ages and skill levels.
- Assess student abilities and tailor instruction to meet their specific learning needs and goals.
- Educate students on proper snowboarding techniques, safety procedures, and resort etiquette.
- Create a positive, supportive, and fun learning environment that encourages student progression and enjoyment.
- Maintain a high level of personal snowboarding proficiency and stay updated on current teaching methodologies and industry trends.
- Conduct pre-lesson safety briefings and equipment checks, ensuring all participants are properly equipped and prepared.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to students, helping them understand and correct their movements.
- Manage group dynamics effectively, ensuring all participants receive adequate attention and instruction.
- Assist with other snow school operations as needed, including registration, equipment rental guidance, and guest services.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, safety regulations, and professional standards.
Required Skills
- Advanced snowboarding proficiency and extensive on-snow experience.
- Current Snowboard Instructor certification from a recognized association (e.g., CASI Level 1 or equivalent).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to teach and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and ages.
- Strong understanding of snow safety, terrain awareness, and risk management.
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
- First Aid and CPR certification (current or willing to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- CASI Level 2 Snowboard Instructor certification or higher.
- Previous experience teaching snowboarding in a resort setting.
- Experience working with children and/or individuals with special needs.
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
- Knowledge of freestyle, freeride, or racing techniques.
